Men At Work CIC trains professionals who work with boys and young men to facilitate constructive dialogues with them about safety, empathy and respect – for themselves, for their male peers and for women and girls.
Our mission is to empower – through knowledge, skills and confidence – a widening range of professionals to help boys and young men achieve their potential - for themselves and as positive assets to their peer-groups, their places of education, their communities and, in time, their own partners and families. We are focused on the goal of fostering violence-free relationships, families and communities and on helping to remove obstacles to safe, empathetic and respectful lives – all through constructive, reflective dialogue.

FOUNDATIONS: 12 DIALOGUES is an innovative one-day training for those who work with boys and young men in a range of contexts: Education, Youth Work, Youth Justice, Family Support, Social Work and beyond. Spend the day with a group of fellow professionals from within your own field and related fields, looking at the ways in which societal values and expectations can cause a range of behavioural and attitudinal issues with boys and young men which are not in their interests - or in the interests of those of of the women and girls in their lives.
The training covers the underlying themes and practical mechanics of delivering a programme framework called '12 Dialogues' which has been rolled out to over 3000 professionals since summer 2021 to overwhelmingly positive feedback: https://menatworkcic.org/feedback-3/
We explore themes including #misogyny #sexism #vulnerability #risktaking #peerpressure #bullying #manosphere #mentalhealth #porn #grooming #control #empathy #vulnerability
The training has material relevance to professionals in all sectors where direct work with boys and young men is undertaken - and more broadly to all with an interest in the safe, empathetic and respectful development of boys and young men.
