Description

Recommendation 16 of the ‘1+2 Report’ states:

‘The Working Group recommends that schools provide all young people with flexible opportunities and encouragement to study more than one modern language to the level of a National Qualification Unit or course, in the senior phase, whether in their own school or through cluster arrangements with other schools.’

Would you like to:

  • expand provision in the senior phase?
  • boost the number of young people continuing with a language beyond the broad general education?
  • hear what others are doing and have an opportunity to discuss possibilities with colleagues?

If so, you may find inspiration at this senior phase learning event in Dunfermline.
Each event will have three different speakers talking about the courses they offer in the senior phase.
They will say what they do to attract young people to study languages. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussion with colleagues and representatives from SCILT and Education Scotland.

For the opportunity to participate, click on the green button above to register.
If you have any questions in the meantime, please contact the event organiser, Emma McLean e.mclean@strath.ac.uk or alternatively click on 'Contact the Organiser' located to the right-hand side of this page.

We look forward to seeing you there!
