Learn the steps to that will improve your ability to raise capital at each stage of your company's growth.
About this event
This workshop is designed to provide CEO's and CFO's with the tools they need to analyze their own preparedness for raising capital and to understand what funding sources are looking for.
This varies widely depending on the stage of a company and the type of financing, i.e. SAFE notes, convertible debt, common or preferred stock, a staged financing over multiple tranches at different valuations or caps, or whether funding is coming from high net worth investors, angel investors, angel investment groups, institutional (venture fund) investors or strategic (corporate) investors and so forth. The workshop will cover the core attributes that each funding source is looking for.
Slide decks will be covered: what to include and what not to, the style, complexity, and pacing of delivery, all of which can stimulate interest or cause your audience to quietly look down at their smart phone (especially on ZOOM calls) and silently read their emails or text messages.
What is rarely covered but addressed here are those unspoken characteristics that venture funds and investors may respond to and what they dislike about a slide deck or its presentation. You'll learn that it's as much about who and what is behind the slide deck that matters most, including the style of delivery.
Lastly, you'll learn about the 'valley of death' that every company must cross and why so many do not make it.
This workshop is fast pace and primarily targeting those who have some familiarity and experience with raising capital.
