Normally the conference would expect to host over 150 midwives attending from all over the island of Ireland with the venue alternating each year between the North and the South of Ireland. However, given the exceptional circumstances of COVID 19 we will be hosting the conference online and offering it free to members of the RCM and INMO.
The purpose of the conference is to provide an opportunity for midwives throughout Ireland to learn from each other and from colleagues elsewhere. The theme for this year is ‘Midwifery – adaptable and responsive during a crisis’. We will be reflecting on the response of Midwives to what has been an unparalleled situation created by the COVID 19 pandemic both in terms of how we provide care to women and their babies but also how we look after ourselves.
