Do you like drawing Manga style and would you like to know some tips on improving your skill? Or are you a total beginner in drawing but would like to try? Either case is welcome! Let’s learn how to draw a basic manga style face and explore the possibilities of creating your own manga character. There are some handouts you can refer to and worksheets you can try. This is a casual drop-in workshop with a professional manga creator Chie who will help you and is happy to answer any questions regarding Manga. By the end of the session, you will walk away proudly holding your manga art piece.

About the Aritst

Chie was born in Japan but now lives in Brighton and works as a professional manga artist. Chie illustrates for authors and has illustrations published in one of Japans major news companies. Her works are available in most English speaking countries and have been translated into Turkish, French, Italian and Spanish.

Chie regularly runs workshops in schools, libraries and museums including the British Museum, British Library and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
