Speakers Bio

Adele Gladman is an established independent safeguarding trainer and consultant. Originally a solicitor, Adele became involved in practice development and safeguarding training after working on a Home Office Child Sexual Exploitation research and development pilot in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. She established the company that became Safeguarding Children Training & Consultancy Ltd in 2002. Adele is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people and developing the skills of those who work with them.

Adele works on a UK-wide basis and works with central government as well as local authorities, education, private organisations, the voluntary sector, and national ombudsmen. Adele is an approved independent consultant working with the NSPCC and worked for the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse from 2018- 22, both as an independent expert and a facilitator for the Truth Project. She is an independent auditor carrying out workplace audits for a number of organisations including Multi Academy Trusts, colleges and universities, local authorities, charities, and private companies.

Adele is the mother of 18-year-old twins and foster carer of a young person placed in her care in 2021. She is a Safeguarding Trustee to the local Sexual Abuse Referral Centre (BSARCS).
