Dementia Stars community  programmes are funded by Sheffield City Council through the Dementia Advice Service which is delivered in partnership with Age UK Sheffield and Enrichment for the Elderly.Sheffield Dementia Action alliance is funded by Sheffield City Council and is delivered in partnership with Age UK Sheffield and Enrichment for the Elderly.

Enrichment for the Elderly

Experiential training which puts you in the shoes of a person living with dementia to discover how best you can support.

Sheffield Town Hall

After attending this course you will;- Recognise person centred care and how to implement it- Understand the impact dementia may have on behaviour and how this might change our perception as professionals- Recognise how to support someone to live well with dementia- Understand the role inclusion, equality and diversity has in dementia care- Recognise the different types of dementia- Understand the risk factors of dementia- see the changes you can make to support someone living with DementiaPlaces are free (funded by Sheffield City Council) as long as participants attend, if less than 48 hours notice is given, £40+VAT will be charged per participant who doesn't attend.Please note if attendees arrive 20 minutes or more after the start time, they will need to rebook and pay the cancellation fee.Sheffield City Council are funding these courses and your personal information (name and organisation) will be shared by the trainer with the council. We won’t share this data with any third party and will purely be used to validate our invoices for cancelled bookings or non-attendance.
