Final day of presentations, conversations and activity exploring and showcasing work which brings together Arts, Health and Social Care.

About this Event

Originally planned as a one-day conference event to take place in April 2020, this event is now taking the form of a series of bite-sized morning sessions, 10am-midday every day, via zoom on the 23rd/24th/25th/26th November.

The sessions are FREE to book and aim to bring together a wide spectrum of people from Arts, Health and Social Care together to look at some of the key developments within the sector and to explore the potential of establishing Brighton and Hove as a centre of excellence for Arts, Health & Wellbeing.

DAY 4, Thursday 26th: The Big Conversation - exploring the issues, the opportunities, the developing language and practice

Our confirmed programme includes the following:

We are delighted that we have a panel of guest speakers to lead our conversation: James Sanderson, Director of Personalised Care NHS England, Dr Aristea Fotopoulou, Arts/Data/Health Project University of Brighton, Josh Cullimore,Urgent Care Clinical Lead Brighton CCG, Donna Chisholm, Assistant Director of Culture, Toursim and Sport Brighton and Hove City Council and Polly Irvin, Therapy Service Manager at Rise UK.

There will also be presentations by Silver Strings Orchestra, South East Dance, Bridget Sawyers and Alli Beddoes and artist Vikki Parker.

The event will be hosted by the co-chairs of the Brighton and Hove Arts, Health and Wellbeing Group, Alistair Hill, Director of Public Health for Brighton and Hove City Council and Jane McMorrow, Director of Creative Future.

We welcome your questions either in advance or you will be able to submit them live on the day.

We hope that you will also join us for other sessions during the week:

Monday 23rd: The Big Picture - considering the international, national and local context and the latest research findings.

Tuesday 24th: The Big Challenges - tackling inequalities and finding opportunities

Wednesday 25th: The Big Vision – creating a shared vision for Brighton and Hove (this session will be led by the HERA Partnership)
