About this Event
New for Winter/Spring 2021, The London Ambler presents a season of online events exploring the linear history of London's Roman Roads and their evolution as part of the contemporary city! The series follows the journey of six of the capital's epic arterial routes from the centre of town out to the city's limits uncovering architecture, settlement and change over the past 2,000 years along the way!
This walk explores the linear history, architecture and settlement along The Great West Road, aka the A30, aka The Devil's Highway - the historic roman route west to Silchester and Bath between St Giles and Staines via Shepherds Bush, Gunnersbury and Kew!
