About this event

Charity & Causes

Do you find yourself ambushing storytellers into last minute requests and quick approvals? Are you confident that your storytellers are well-supported and feel in control of their story? Have you ever had a tricky conversation with a colleague about 'tweaking' someone's words?

In this session we will explore how good internal relationships and effective systems and processes underpin ethical storytelling practice. You will come away with tips on how to build relationships and plan effectively and with guidance on how to support your storytellers.

We will cover:

Ethical storytelling

What is ethical storytelling and why should you care? This session will look at the responsibilities that come with telling people’s stories and what happens when you do it well – or not so well.

Safeguarding and consent

We talk you through the practical steps you need to take to ensure your storytellers and advocates are fully informed at every step of the way and are kept safe and supported.

This course can be booked as a standalone course or as part two of our Storytelling Masterclass.
