Mother Daughter Circle for girls aged 11-13

Session Dates: 20 September, 18 October, 15 November, 20 December, 17 January, 21 February

Join us for a special gathering at Rusthall URC Church Hall, where mothers and daughters aged 11-13 can bond, share, and connect in a supportive environment.

These six monthly Saturday gatherings are designed to help girls navigate the exciting (and sometimes tricky!) journey through adolescence while strengthening that special mother-daughter bond.

Each month, we'll explore topics that really matter:

  • 💖 Self-Esteem & Body Image
  • 👯‍♀️ Friendships & Relationships
  • 🌱 Periods & Puberty
  • 🧠 Emotional Health
  • 💪 Physical Health
  • Dreams & Confidence

Frequently asked questions

What should I bring?

Please bring a yoga mat or blanket to sit on and anything else that would make you feel comfortable. Before each session, I will message you to remind you and to let you what else you need for that specific session.

What if I feel awkward talking about periods and puberty with my mum present?

This is a common concern! We create a relaxed, matter-of-fact atmosphere where these topics are discussed naturally and respectfully. All the other girls are in the same situation, and our discussions focus on facts, myths, and practical information.

Will I have to share personal things in front of everyone?

No, you never have to share anything you're not comfortable with. Our circles are designed to be safe spaces where everyone respects each other's boundaries. Many activities offer options for private reflection or optional sharing. The environment is supportive, not pressuring.

Will I be the only one who doesn't know anyone?

Most girls come not knowing others in the group! Part of the magic of our circles is forming new friendships. We start with ice-breakers and relationship-building activities, and with only 10 mother-daughter pairs, the group becomes close-knit quickly.

How many people participate in each circle?

Each circle is limited to 10 mother-daughter pairs. We keep the groups small to create a safe, intimate environment where meaningful connections can form and everyone has space to participate.

What if I'm struggling with friendship issues or social media pressures?

Our circles specifically address these challenges! We create a supportive environment where girls can learn practical strategies for these common challenges. The sessions on emotional health and self-esteem also provide tools for dealing with social pressures, including those from social media.
