Making Sense of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
This workshop is aimed at parents and carers of young people (aged 15+) in West Sussex with special educational needs and disabilities who would like to find out about applying for Personal Independence Payments (PIP).
The session will cover the process of starting a claim, the rates at which PIP is payable and how decisions are made, strategies for making a strong claim, face to face assessments and phone consultations and what to do if the first decision is no.
There will also be an opportunity for you to ask questions during the session.
Delivered via Zoom by Lizzie Batten from Amaze.
This workshop is for parents and carers in West Sussex only (with children 15+ about to transfer/apply for PIP) and not for the young person to attend.
Please note this workshop is funded by Reaching Families for parents and carers of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities in West Sussex only. It is not suitable for professionals.
