Merger control and competitiveness: what should change?

During this lunch talk we will assess the practice under the EUMR and whether competitiveness as a guiding principle would have changed decisions. We will also explore when harm to competition equals harm to competitiveness and whether this is always the case. We will finally discuss how merger control could change to support the Union’s competitiveness agenda.

  • Nicolas Petit, EUI
  • Hans Zenger, European Commission
  • Kirsten Edwards-Warren, Econic Partners
