Are you aged 15-26, Live in Hackney, and Want to learn how to use power tools, find materials, and build things?
If so - Come along to the Woodshop of Recycled Delights' 'PALLET TO PROJECT' Workshop to create and repair with reclaimed timber!
Building on the INTRO Workshop (It's best if you've attended that one before attending this one) We'll take you through:
- Capturing and processing waste timber
- Design considerations for working with waste wood
- Planning a project and working out a cut list
- Hands on experience/ practice with power tools
- Putting all this to use on a Simple project for the GED!
NOTE: WoRD 'Pallet to Project' Workshops are designed for participants who have previously attended an Introductory Session.
We're passionate about supporting people to make whatever they want out of reclaimed material, and the possibilities are truly endless.
Suitable for ages16+, our session will begin with an introductory tool talk for those who'd like it, and then you can crack on with making the project of your dreams or repairing your wooden items.
We take a co-learning approach, so whilst our facilitators have a little experience, they are not experts. Together we can work out how to make or fix things using reclaimed materials.
Workshop starts at 11am - please arrive on-time to begin!
