🧠 Dr Shungu’s Case Reflections Masterclass Series
Reframing Needs Through the Lens of Equity & Inclusion
🔍 What Is This Series About?
Are you a parent, professional, or psychologist wanting to deepen your understanding of how to identify children’s needs through a lens of equity, diversity, and inclusion?
Do you want to learn how to identify bias and barriers to learning, and challenge the systemic practices that undermine the needs of some learners?
Do you want to ensure that DEI isn't just policy language, but a real force shaping your everyday practice?
If yes, then this masterclass series is for you.
🧩 What You’ll Experience
Led by Dr Shungu H. M’gadzah, educational psychologist, DEI consultant, and creator of the Six Stages Framework, each 1-hour session will focus on a real anonymised case study drawn from Dr Shungu’s professional experience.
We will:
* Explore a new case in every session
* Build a psychological formulation for understanding the child’s needs
* Apply the Six Stages Framework to identify systemic bias and barriers
* Reflect on interventions and provision that promote true inclusion
* Ask better questions about how children are being supported—and by whom
🌍 Who Should Attend?
This space is ideal for:
* Parents seeking to advocate more effectively for their child
* Psychologists and allied professionals aiming to enhance formulation practice with a DEI lens
* Educators and SENCOs committed to equitable practice
* Trainees or new EPs wanting to sharpen their systemic awareness
* Anyone committed to challenging inequity and creating truly inclusive systems
💡 What Makes This Different?
This isn’t just about diagnosing needs. It’s about:
* Deconstructing bias
* Unpacking power
* Naming systems
* And elevating outcomes—for all children
We’re not just talking about practice. We’re transforming it—one case at a time.
