Loss and Bereavement, online training

This course offers practical ways to support individuals with intellectual disabilities in processing grief and loss using communication strategies. It is aimed at those supporting adults with a learning disability.
Course facilitators:
This course will be facilitated by Speaking Space (Romsey) Ltd, a speech and language therapy company based in Romsey, Hampshire. The course will be run by 2 highly experienced speech and language therapists.
PLEASE NOTE: Places on our training programme are limited, please only book your place if you are sure you can attend for the duration of the training. If for unforeseen circumstances you need to cancel your place please contact us as soon as possible so we can offer the training to somebody else. We can only offer these workshops free of charge as we have secured funding from Skills for Care. Thanks to our funders we can offer these learning opportunities free of charge to caregivers and personal assistants (employed via a personal budget).

About the Support Collective
The Support Collective is a group of people with lived experience of disability, family carers, support workers, and representatives from health and social care. We collectively share the aim of working towards person-centred and inclusive models of support and care, and protecting the rights of people with support needs.
The Support Collective is part of the Project Art Works community who collaborates with people with complex support needs, families and circles of support.
