Overview of Course
In this class you will build a festive themed collaged fabric art patch which will be attached to a hand dyed tote bag. In the class you will learn a combination of hand-crafted techniques to create your decorative fabric art piece turning a plain tote bag into your very own festive tote bag.
What will I learn?
For this short class you will learn how to create a festive themed fabric collage patch that will then be attached to a pre-dyed tote bag.
You will be given a festive themed designed template that will be a guide to create the fabric collaged patch and a prepared fabric base to work on.
Using applique, slow stitching, fabric painting and simplistic embroidery stitches. You will learn fabric art methods to build a collaged patch, using various hand dyed fabrics, reclaimed printed fabrics, embroidery thread, reclaimed fabrics, voile, reclaimed vintage lace and lastly adding embellishments to pull the festive themed fabric collage art patch together.
The finished patch will be attached to a pre- dyed tote bag to create your very own beautifully hand-crafted festive themed tote bag you can us the bag as a keeps sake or give as a beautifully hand-crafted gift.
