Fantastic Fungi and Nature Walk

If you are fascinated by foraging, but fungi gives you the fear, this walk is for you!

Join the Somer Valley Walking Festival where Steve England will lead you on a 2 hour walk through the beautiful grasslands and woodland of Haydon Batch. You will be introduced to some beginner-friendly families of fungi, as well as some of the most deadly, so you know which ones to look out for!

Delving into mushroom foraging can feel daunting as a beginner, but this walk aims to empower and equip you with enough knowledge to confidently continue your fungi foraging journey.

Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult.

We ask that dogs be left at home for this walk.

We will be meeting at Haydon Que Club. There is free on street parking, but please Bus, Walk or Cycle where possible.

Please wear practical shoes for walking, clothing for the weather and bring a pen and paper for notes!
