About this event

Anxiety Management – for perinatal mental health support

Welcome to our online event focusing on anxiety management for perinatal mental health! Whether you are supporting a parent who is struggling with their mental health or you are that parent - Join us for a session filled with tips, strategies, and a supportive community to help you navigate through mental health challenges. As parents and peer support practitioners, one of the most common mental health conditions you will see is anxiety. Find out the difference between anxiety and stress, what happens to our bodies during an anxiety attack and explore some effective techniques for managing anxiety. We will be trying out a few grounding techniques during the seminar so you may wish to find a quiet, private space to listen in. Come and share your own favourite tools for anxiety management.

Lifeboat’s series of lunchtime seminars are ideal for peer support workers and other practitioners supporting parents with their mental health during pregnancy, birth or beyond. They are also suitable for parents who are looking for ways to improve their mental wellbeing. Don't miss out on this opportunity to connect with other people who understand.
