PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A DROP IN SESSION. PLEASE ATTEND AT YOUR ALLOTED 30 MINUTE TIME SLOT (THIS CAN BE FOUND AT THE BOTTOM OF THE CONFIRMATION EMAIL e.g. GENERAL ADMISSION AT 1PM)
This session should be booked by Early Years practitioners in order to discuss children you wish to refer to the Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) service.
In each 30 minute slot you can discuss up to 4 children, if you wish to discuss more children please book additional time slots.
If the child is already known to us, you should contact their therapist directly to discuss their input.
All pre-referral consultation sessions are held virtually using the NHS Attend Anywhere platform: Attend Anywhere Virtual Waiting Room - Children's SLT
Please log in with your setting name and not the child's name, so that the therapist can easily locate you in the waiting room.
You will need to ensure you have:
- Parental consent to discuss the child with SLT service.
- The child's EYFS tracker to discuss their development.
- Completed Speech and Language Checklist
- Speech sound sample (screen provided, if applicable)
- Video evidence (if available and consent has been given by parent/carer).
This information will form the basis of the consultation. At the consultation, advice will be provided and you may be advised to refer the child to SLT.
