About this event
Speed Gaming
A fun night connecting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and/or physical disabilities. Ages 28–42 - if you are within 3 years of this age range, you can attend - exclusively for single people!
Looking to meet new people, make friends, or even find someone special?
Speed Gaming is a relaxed and welcoming social night where adults aged 28–42 can connect through fun, easy games – and maybe make a friendship or relationship along the way.
The evening is set up with a variety of games on different tables – think card games and board games. You’ll move around the room in small groups, playing games and getting to know different people in a fun, friendly way.
There’s no pressure and no right or wrong way to join in – whether you’re hoping to make a friend, enjoy a night out, or see if there’s a romantic spark, this event is all about genuine connection.
You will be given small cards to write your name and number on. You can give these out during the night if you would like to stay in touch with someone.
🎟️ Limited tickets available: 10 men’s and 10 women’s tickets – book early to save your space.
👋 Come on your own or with a support person – everyone is welcome, and our friendly hosts will be there to make sure you feel comfortable and included.
💬 You’ll leave with new conversations, shared laughs, and maybe even a number or two.
Frequently asked questions
You will be met by Pixie and Jody, who will be your hosts for the evening. You will be asked to write your name on a blank name badge and wear a lanyard around your neck with this on so other daters know what to call you. Drinks and snacks are available to buy from the cafe.
You will begin the evening seated at a table with other attendees. There will be games on every table - you will have 10 minutes to play the game before being asked to move to the next table to meet the next attendees.
You will be provided with cards to write your name and number on. You can hand these out at any point during the evening to people you would like to stay in touch with. This does not mean someone has to give you a card back. This is a no-pressure environment.
This is not strictly a dating event, but if you are open to finding love, you may well find someone special. However, this event is primarily to find friendship and connection.
You need to be within 2-3 years of the age category to attend the event.
Dark Lane Car Park is a large car park just outside the venue. The postcode Tf4 3GZ will take you there.
Yes, there is a ramp to get into the cafe. If you can let me know in advance that you require wheelchair access, this will allow me to ensure you have a suitable table for when you are dating.
Yes! You are welcome to bring a trusted friend or support person if that would make you feel more comfortable. They can help you navigate the event, but they won’t be able to participate in the speed dating interactions themselves.
Due to venue size, we are restricting the amount of additional people (non-daters) so have allocated just one space per dater for a support person/carer/parent. If there are reasons that you need more than one person, please email info@speeddatingshropshire.co.uk to confirm.
There’s no required preparation, but it can be helpful to think of a few things you’d like to share about yourself—like your hobbies, favorite books or movies, or things you're passionate about. Just be yourself and come with an open mind!
We understand that sensory overload or social anxiety can be challenging. There is sheltered seating outside where you can take a break if you need to step away and recharge. You can also let Event Organisers Pixie or Jody know if you need additional support at any time.
This event is hosted by Speed Dating Shropshire, and all events are always for single people. Whether you are hoping for friendship or more, it is exclusively for single people.
Games like Connect 4, Guess who and Pop up pirates - simple games that don't take too much time to play so you can get some games in within 10 minutes but not have to focus too much on the games - this means plenty of time to chat too!
