How much? From £82* for volunteers of Girlguiding North East England (see below)

* The fee structure payable to our specialist trainers depends on the number of participants on a course. If we can sell all available tickets for the course the fee payable will be £82 per region participant. However, if all tickets are not sold then the price charged per head will increase depending on numbers. By booking this event now and paying £82 ('the deposit') you agree that in the event of the price increasing due to low ticket sales you will pay the balance between the new price and the deposit already paid. The maximum price that will be charged is £144.50.

Please consider where you will be using your qualification and for what level as you may be able to claim some or all of the cost from your county or unit. We also offer a region Qualifications Bursary - you can find more details and the application form on the region website.

If you will be using this qualification for DofE purposes, you may be able to secure funding from a Diamond Grant we hold for this purpose. Please email info@girlguidingnortheast.org.uk for more details.

Outside region – If you are not a volunteer with Girlguiding North East England we welcome out of region Girlguiding volunteers to join us at this training.  Please tick the 'Out of region' box when booking your ticket.  

This is a 16 hour course which will give you a qualification which is recognised by most national governing bodies. Both days will commence at 9 am prompt. The weekend will finish at approximately 5.30 pm on Sunday.

Participants will be expected to take a full and active part in the course, including acting as casualties for each other. You will be expected to be capable of kneeling, performing CPR on manikins and lifting and rolling simulated casualties. Suitable clothing would be a tracksuit and trainers or other loose clothing and flat shoes. A significant amount of time will be spent outdoors regardless of the weather, so please bring suitable warm and waterproof clothing.

Prior to the course you will need to have undertaken and completed the Girlguiding 1st Response e-learning.

Although this course is aimed at those working towards an outdoor qualification, it also fulfils the criteria for those wishing to renew their First Response Trainer Qualification.

Please note this is a non-residential training and you will be required to attend both days. No food will be provided so please bring your own lunch or there are plenty of outlets in the vicinity for you to get lunch. Please bring your own water bottle.

Ticket sales will close at 11.30 pm on Sunday 17 October 2021.

Payments can be made via card or BACS. If you wish to pay by BACS please tick the 'Pay by Invoice' option on booking and you will be supplied with our bank details for a BACS payment - you will not be sent an invoice. BACS payments must be received within 48 hours of booking or we reserve the right to cancel your booking.

Booking Terms and Conditions

By booking this ticket you are agreeing to the Girlguiding North East England booking terms and conditions as follows.

Cancellation by Participant - Cancellation must be made via email or in writing to the Girlguiding North East England office. No refunds are payable on cancellation by the Participant unless the place can be filled.

Cancellation by Girlguiding North East England - Girlguiding North East England reserves the right to modify or cancel the event if unforeseen circumstances arise. In the event of cancellation being made by Girlguiding North East England a full refund of the event fee paid to Girlguiding North East England will be made to participants.
