This 60-minute online workshop is designed to help education professionals understand how to support students’ sensory needs throughout the school day. Participants will explore ways to help children achieve and maintain a “just right” level of sensory input, avoiding both over and under responsiveness, to promote focus, engagement, and regulation. The session also highlights practical strategies for embedding sensory supports into everyday classroom routines, making them sustainable and seamless parts of the learning environment.

Session Format
Delivered online via Microsoft Teams, the workshop combines slides, spoken input, and opportunities to ask questions through the chat function. Please note that advice cannot be given about individual children during this session.

About the Workshop
This workshop is led by an Occupational Therapist from the Sensory Processing Service. This workshop is suitable for teachers, teaching assistants, SENCOs, and early years staff who want to better understand sensory regulation and use evidence-informed strategies to support students in their care.
