One of our most popular events. A marvellous day exploring in nature - look for mini beasts, get making in the mud kitchen, build dens, climb trees, be creative with our winter craft, and enjoy a campfire (weather permitting)!
This event is suitable for children aged 3 and above. An adult must accompany children at all times.
📍Where do we meet?
Meeting instructions will be sent on booking. Please Park in the Pelican Playground car park and follow the signs to the meeting point just inside the meadow.
🥾What should we wear? Most of our events are fully outdoors, and you need to come dressed for the weather. We recommend layers (top and bottom), which can get mucky. Wellies (with thick socks) and waterproofs are a good shout if you have them.
🔥What should we bring? Is food provided? Weather permitting, we will have a campfire at the end of the session. You are welcome to bring something to toast. Ideas include: crumpets, little malt loaves, toasting tea cakes, sweet waffles, brioche, fruit, e.g., pineapple/mango. Anything you can warm through on a stick, really – we provide toasting forks. No uncooked meat or nuts, please. Marshmallows and popcorn are not recommended for children under the age of 5.
🌍Where are you based?
We are located in Chigwell, close to Loughton, Debden, and Epping.
🚗Is there parking?
Yes, we have two large free car parks.
🚻Are there toilets?
Yes, the Grange Farm Centre has toilets. There are no other facilities on site.
🐕🦺Can we bring a dog?
