An extensive introduction to Sensory Integration, what it is, the affected sensory systems and how you can recognise the signs and symptoms

About this event


This is a foundation level course for parents, teachers, learning support assistants and other Health Care professionals who would like further knowledge in understanding the difference between childhood behaviour and sensory integration issues.

Aimed at individuals working with children or adolescents in mainstream or special schools, who present with sensory issues.

Each delegate will receive a copy of a quality printed work book of the slides and further information booklet to work through on the day and to refer to after the course.

We are thrilled to be able to offer this in person again after the last 18 months. Should you be further afield and not be able to attend in person at Wensum Valley, Taverham. We are offering an online stream and recording of the course as an online ticket option. Please see ticket options for more details.

What happens after I purchase my tickets:

Our event will be hosted via Mary Hamilton at Wensum Valley Hotel in Taverham, Norfolk . Once you book your ticket, we will be in touch with your lunch options prior to the event.

Is the price for both Parent and Professional?

Yes, we have lowered our one day course price to help make this affordable to everyone in this very difficult climate.

Can I book a group ticket?

Yes, you can purchase tickets in groups of 10 attendees.

When do I need toarrive on the day?

The course starts at 9.30am, we advise to arrive between 9am - 9.15am so you are settled ready and seated for 9.30am. There will be plenty of refreshment breaks during the day and lunch is included.

Is there a schedule for the day course?

Yes, you will receive the course structure and schedule once you book your ticket and this information will be emailed to you to show what is being covered and when during the day. It will also show expected lunch and refreshment break times.

Can I ask questions during the course?

Absolutely! Mary Hamilton, who will be presenting the course will give opportunites to ask questions throughout the day and after the course finishes. Mary will talk you through this before the course starts in the morning.

When do I receive my CPD certificate?

This will be sent to you after you have passed the quiz.

Are you holding any more courses after CPD Level 1?


Once the developmental sensory systems have been introduced and understood -

Sensory Awareness Training Level Two (SAT2) will introduce strategies for ‘What can I do?’

SAT 2 Day Course - November 19th - Wensum Valley Hotel, Taverham, Norfolk (virtual tickets also available).

This will provide sensory strategies for home and school environments and enable professionals and parents to see what ‘in clinic’ treatment looks like and why your child might need this in addition to sensory enrichment strategies for home and school.

Which leads on to the final SAT3 -

Sensory Awareness Training Level 3 - Day Course Date - 26th November - Wensum Valley Hotel, Taverham (virtual tickets also available).

This course leads on from SAT2, for parents and SENCOs writing formal documents such as Educational Health Care Plans.

SAT3 is to equip you with the sensory essentials which could be included into an EHCP.

You can benefit from a bundle discount if you book SAT 1, 2 and 3 together. Please see ticket options. You can also purchase each course seperately should this be of preference.

£199 per individual course.

£499 for 3 course bundle. SAT 1, 2 and 3.

Should you be further afield or not able to attend we are streaming the course live during the day, you will need to choose the live stream ticket option of £99 for this option.
