Langdon Spring Forest School Upskilling
Overview
For anyone who is involved in Forest School sessions at their setting. Refresh and improve your skills, practice those pesky knots, safely use a range of hand tools, share knowledge and ideas, and learn different cooking techniques on an open fire. We will provide you with lots of inspiration, practical skills, and ideas for your Winter Forest School sessions. Please bring your own resources for cooking on the fire if you wish.
Course costs: £57 per person (inc VAT) plus booking fee.
Meet at 9.45 am for a 10 am start

📍Where do we meet?
Meet outside the Nature Discovery Centre, which is next to the car park.
🥾What should we wear?
Most of our events are held outdoors, so please come dressed for the weather. We recommend layers (top and bottom), which can get mucky. Sturdy footwear, such as walking boots, is essential.
🔥What should we bring?
Please bring your lunch with you. Work or gardening gloves if you have them. A chair, if you'd prefer not to sit on a log. You are welcome to bring something else to cook on the fire, such as crumpets, toasting tea cakes, sweet waffles, brioche, fruit, e.g., pineapple/mango. No uncooked meat or nuts.
🌍Where are you based?
We are located just off the A127 near Basildon.
🚗Is there parking?
Yes, we have a large free car park.
🚇Can we get to you on public transport?
Yes. We are just under 2 miles walk from Laindon Station and under 1 mile walk from the nearest bus stop.
🚻Are there toilets?
Yes. Our Langdon Nature Discovery Center features toilets, a shop, and a café serving hot and cold drinks, snacks, ice cream, and light lunches.
🐕🦺Can we bring a dog?
Assistance dogs are welcome at our events.
