Meeting venue
18ECF will be held at the Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground in Manchester, UK (note, NOT the football ground). This is right next to Old Trafford tram stop with links to Manchester Airport and the centre of the city.
It is slightly outside the city centre, but easy to get to from airport and Manchester Piccadilly train station. The tram system (called Metrolink) has a contactless tap-and-go system system, black cabs can be found at the taxi ranks at the train station and airport, Uber/Lyft also operate in the city. If you are driving, there is complimentary parking for 18ECF participants on-site.
Conference hotel
The 18ECF meeting venue is directly attached to The Hilton Garden Inn Hotel. We have negotiated a conference rate of £120 per night for the duration of the meeting and a couple of days either side. Book here.
If you prefer, there are many options to stay in the city itself, within a 15-20 minute tram/Uber ride.
