THE 1920s-INSPIRED GEOMETRIC FLORALS REPEAT PATTERNS WORKSHOP FOR PRINTED TEXTILES
LEARN HOW TO CREATE PERFECT REPEAT PATTERNS FOR DIGITALLY PRINTED SILKS, COTTONS AND LINENS IN PHOTOSHOP!
Textile design expert, Emma Neuberg, shows you how to create perfect geometric repeat patterns from your own designs in Photoshop.
Starting with fun painting inspired by 1920s Parisian prints, you'll learn how to transform these into perfect repeat patterns and find out where to get these printed professionally for your own bespoke fabric collections.
All you need to bring is a memory stick so you can save copies of your files and take them home with you! Machines, materials, refreshments and a Slow Textiles Group infopack to help you discover more and develop your skills beyond the day are provided.
You can also join us live online if you're not in town - it's easy as we use Google+ Hangout. We just call you up on your computer or iPad on the day (all you need is a Google+ account) and it's like interactive TV. Please email us your gmail when you have it as Google+ works with gmail addresses only (see our contact link below).
This workshop is open to everyone at all levels.
As part of our unique teaching structure, we integrate Practical, Sustainable, Material and Immaterial qualities into each class to encourage depth learning while making the experience valuable, applicable and highly actionable so that you can use what you learn in real life AND be really good!
If you like fashion, textiles, design, print and pattern as a career, passion, interest, profession or hobby, then this is for you.
We look foward to welcoming you!
When you arrive at the blue front door of the Kingsgate Workshops Trust large Victorian warehouse (114 Kingsgate Road, London NW6 2JG), please ring buzzer 'A' and one of the Slow Textiles team will come down to greet you. Please aim to arrive 15mins before class so that we may run on time. See you there!
