January can feel long, grey, and a little overwhelming for both children and adults. This pilot session is designed to offer a gentle reset. A chance to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy a mindful hour together.

What We’ll Do

This is a story-led craft session where children and their grown-ups create a glowing “Jar of Little Joys.” We’ll explore the small things that lift our mood in winter, gather tactile treasures from around the space, decorate our jars with sparkle, and enjoy some peaceful crafting time side by side.

This session supports emotional well-being by:

• Encouraging children to notice small moments of joy

• Creating a calm, screen-free connection with a parent

• Reducing overwhelm through tactile, hands-on play

• Offering a simple wellbeing ritual, families can continue at home

Every family takes home:

• A completed Joy Jar with lights

• A joint parent–child colouring sheet

• A tiny “Little Joys” bedtime ritual to use all season

Plus — free hot chocolate and marshmallows to keep things cosy.

This is a relaxed, nurturing workshop perfect for families looking for calm, connection, and a gentle start to the new year.
