African Women's Collective

By Leeds Involving People

Overview

A friendly, inclusive space for African women to meet, share experiences and build community through learning, laughter and support.

Join us for a session with West Yorkshire Police, designed to help African women in Leeds feel confident, safe, and supported when dealing with crime or community concerns.

This friendly session will cover:
• How to report crime safely
• What your rights are when speaking with the police
• The different ways you can get help or advice
• What to expect when you make a report
• How the police work with community groups like ours to improve safety

There will be plenty of time for questions. We know that many women have had difficult experiences in the past or aren’t always sure where to turn, so this session is here to give you clarity, reassurance and useful knowledge.

All African women are welcome - whether you’ve been before or it’s your first time.
