Industry Insights with Senior Literary Agent, Writers House, Stephen Barr

Join us for an evening with literary agent and author Stephen Barr.

Stephen has been with Writers House for over 16 years. Writers House is one of the largest literary agencies in the business. Stephen works with adult, fiction and non fiction, and children’s books.

Stephen’s first book as an author is The Upside Down Hat, illustrated by Gracey Zhang, which in 2022 was a New York Times Best Illustrated Book of the year. Stephen has two more books due for release in 2026.

Stephen lives in Brooklyn, NY, with his wife and children and when not at work Stephen can often be found hunkered in his basement with his drum kit trying not to annoy the neighbours.

We look forward to hearing about Stephen’s work with authors and as an author himself. Following the talk there will be an audience Q&A opportunity.
