Overview

A practical workshop on using sensory strategies to support students with sensory differences manage daily transitions.

This 60-minute online workshop explores practical strategies to support students with sensory differences during transitions, both big (such as moving classes or schools) and small (such as switching between activities). Participants will learn how to use sensory strategies and routines to help students feel secure, regulated, and ready to engage in learning during times of change.

Session Format

Delivered online via Microsoft Teams, the workshop combines slides, spoken input, and opportunities to ask questions through the chat function. Please note that advice cannot be given about individual children during this session.

About the Workshop

This workshop is led by an Occupational Therapist from the Sensory Processing Service. This workshop is suitable for teachers, teaching assistants, SENCOs, and early years staff who want to better support students with sensory differences during everyday transitions and key changes in their school journey.
