Overview

Informative & practical training with tools to manage stress, anxiety, and the mental impact of changing weather

What to expect

The session explores what anxiety and stress really are, how they show up, and how to recognise early warning signs before they become overwhelming. You will learn how stress affects the brain, how burnout develops, and simple ways to recover and protect your mental health — including practical techniques that can be used in everyday life.

The final part of the session focuses on changing weather in Scotland, how it can impact mental health, and how to build resilience during extreme or unpredictable conditions. Participants will learn coping strategies, ways to regain a sense of control, and how to apply the tools from earlier in the session when weather-related stress hits.

We'll also highlight where support is available and provide simple actions that can help reduce overwhelm and increase confidence.

There will be adequate breaks provided as well as additional comfort breaks.
