Work-related Stress – Resources to access and assist
Overview
Event Spotlight: Work‑Related Stress – Resources to Access and Assist
Presented by Sharon Patmore, Chartered Occupational Psychologist
Work‑related stress is no longer a background issue, it’s a defining challenge for today’s workforce. Recent UK statistics show 964,000 workers experienced work‑related stress, depression, or anxiety in 2024/25, resulting in 22.1 million lost workdays. Younger employees are particularly affected, with 93% of 18–24‑year‑olds reporting high stress and 39% taking time off due to poor mental health.
This powerful session explores what the HSE identifies as the core drivers of workplace stress and highlights practical, evidence‑based resources organisations can use to better support employees and managers. Attendees will leave with clarity, confidence, and actionable tools to strengthen wellbeing, resilience, and organisational culture.
Further resources will be shared during the session.
