Overview

Learn how sensory needs shape daily life at home and discover practical ways to create calmer, more manageable routines.

We’re pleased to invite you to an upcoming online workshop focused on supporting children and young people with sensory needs. This session is being offered in response to feedback from families, and we hope you’ll find it both informative and practical.

The workshop will be facilitated by Alison Hart, MBAOT, MScOT (Community), FHEA – Occupational Therapist, Children’s Choice Therapy Service Ltd.

Sensory in the Home

This session will explore:

  • How sensory processing works and why it influences children’s behaviour
  • The reasons behind common sensory presentations observed at home
  • Practical, everyday strategies to help reduce sensory-related challenges
  • Ways to support calmer, more manageable routines

This session will be delivered in a supportive, friendly environment and is suitable for any parent carer wanting to deepen their understanding of sensory needs and feel more confident supporting their child at home.
