INTRODUCTION

Cadaveric course for neurosurgery trainees wanting to develop skills in operative paediatric neurosurgery including endoscopy, shuntology, and common posterior and anterior approaches.

AIMS

We are very happy to announce the first Operative Paediatric Neurosurgery - Cadaveric Course in 2025 taking place on Wednesday 8th October. This cadaveric course held at Addenbrooke's Hospital, is designed to teach endoscopic and open anterior and posterior approaches used in paediatric neurosurgery in the microsurgical cadaveric lab.

In addition, the course covers basic shuntology for paediatric hydrocephalus. The aim of the course is to familiarise neurosurgical trainees, of any level, with common operative approaches in paediatric neurosurgery using fresh frozen cadaveric tissue to aid surgical anatomical understanding. Gain 6.5 CPD points approved by the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
