This 2 day interactive advanced communication skills course is fully funded by Health Education England East Midlands for senior health care nurses and allied health care professionals working in LLR who will be initiating or carrying out conversations with patients and their families about the ReSPECT process.
This course runs over two consecutive days utilising an interactive workshop approach. A willingness to use experiential methods of learning and undertake video recorded role plays during the two days is an expectation of the course. Please note that attendance at all sessions over the two days is essential.
Who’s it for? Registered nurses/nursing associates/allied health and social care professionals who hold an individual professional registration within health and social care settings e.g. NMC, HCPC. THIS TRAINING IS NOT FUNDED FOR DOCTORS.
Points to note: As many of the issues surrounding this training are about dealing with distress and end of life, it can be an emotional experience. It is not advisable to attend if you have recently undergone any personal serious ill-health or recently suffered a bereavement.
