About this event

Join experienced printmaker Sarah Godfrey for this exciting workshop exploring the collagraph printmaking technique.

A collagraph is essentially a collage of materials glued to a printing plate, to create a textured surface image, which then can be inked and printed on an etching press. Discover and gain an understanding of the process while having fun and learning from each other.

About the tutor

Sarah has always had a very spontaneous and intuitive approach when making her artwork, enjoying using as many different methods of mark making within one image as she can.

Having trained as an Illustrator it is not surprising this has influenced her style of image making, she creates sophisticated, over the top images, purely imaginative and fantastical. Sarah has a strong and contagious passion for printmaking, having worked at many printmaking workshops, colleges, schools and organisations. She strongly believes ‘Art is for all’ , and is a very enthusiastic and encouraging tutor with people of all ages and abilities.
