2 Day Freedom Programme for Professionals Workshop
Tue, 25 Apr 2017, 09:00 – Wed, 26 Apr 2017, 17:00 BST
Kay Clarke from the Support Works Foundation is delivering a FREE 2 day Freedom Programme for Professionals Workshop on the 25th and 26th of April at Wyre Forest House, Kidderminster.
The Freedom Programme helps professionals examine the effects of domestic violence and will provide the following learning outcomes:
A greater ability to identify the range and pattern of behaviours that enable a perpetrator to maintain or regain control of a partner, ex-partner or family member.
A deeper understanding of the victim’s level of fear and the impact this has on them, their children, family, social and work life.
A greater knowledge of perpetrator tactics thereby reducing the risk of unwittingly colluding with a perpetrator.
A greater awareness of the tactics used by a perpetrator to control a partner through the use of the children - particularly post separation.
This is what past-delegates had to say about the workshop:
“This training can’t be compared. Everything else has been
information sharing. THIS was training.”
Hannah Whittal, Advanced Social Work Practitioner, WCC Children’s Services
“Both days were excellent and more than met my expectations. The training will certainly change my working practices and improve my skills-thank you!”
Sue Sweeney, Senior Housing Officer, Warwick District Council
Tea and coffee will be provided. Delegates can choose to use the onsite Wyre Forest House Cafe facilities.
