Our two-day Modern Marquetry course takes your skills to the next level, guiding you through the entire process of crafting a unique Modern Marquetry artwork. You'll start by building your own Modern Marquetry block, which becomes the foundation for your final masterpiece.
Throughout the course, you’ll master a variety of tools, including handheld routers, planer/thicknessers, impact drivers, sanders, and clamps for complex glue-ups. Day two introduces advanced techniques with our FB10 band saw, enabling precise slicing of your Marquetry block. From shaping and bonding slices to creating an organic design on a plywood base, you’ll see your vision come to life.
After refining your surface with a drum sander to ensure a smooth finish, you'll shape and perfect the edges using our linisher and optional trim router. A final sanding and an oil finish will enhance the grain and colors, making your work truly shine.
By the end of the course, you’ll have a custom piece ready to display, with the option to add a wall bracket for effortless showcasing. Celebrate your creativity with a masterpiece that's uniquely yours!
