Outdoor First Aid Training, Level 3 Award at Wild Pines Park. Join Wilderness Ways on Sat 9 & Sun 10 Aug 2025 at 08:00 AM for 2 full days of training led by our Outdoor First Aid Instructor. Whether you're a seasoned outdoor enthusiast or just looking to be prepared for that next outdoors situation, this course is for you.
The course will provide learners with the skills and knowledge to respond to a range of outdoor situations including:
First aid equipment, Incident management, Summoning assistance, Monitoring, Scene survey, Primary survey, Secondary Survey, Resuscitation, Defibrilation, Recovery position, Wounds and bleeding, Hypovolaemic shock, Disorders of respiration, Major illnesses, Extreme heat and cold, Resuscitation, Defibrilation, Bones, joints and muscle injuries, Head and spinal injuries, Chest and abdominal injuries, Anaphylaxis, Burns, Eye injuries, Poisoning, Minor injuries.
The qualification meets the requirements of the Institute for Outdoor Learning band 3 training.
Assessment is through a written/multi chioce exam and practical ongoing scenario based situations to consolidate the learning, so a 'have a go attitude' is a must!
Please wear clothing suitable for the 2 days weather forecast and bring your own packed lunch.
Participants must be Age 16 +.
Important note : All attendees must be able to get to the floor and manouvre unassisted to conduct and pass the practical assessments. All attendees must complete all aspects of the course.
