If you're a keen summer hill-walker but lack the skills to venture into the winter mountains, then this is the course for YOU!

The mountains of Scotland are a breath-taking sight when covered with snow, but without the skills and knowledge to negotiate them safely, they can be very dangerous. Join our Women’s Winter Festival for a two-day course which aims to give women the skills and confidence to continue hill-walking into the winter months.

Equipment hire is NOT included in the cost of the course, but the price does include one day of uplift (Nevis Range/Glencoe Mountain) to maximise learning-time above the snow-line. This course is delivered by MCI/WML qualified female guides, with a background in mountaineering. For your safety, the ratio will be a maximum of 1:6. Our goal is to empower women with the skills and confidence neccessary to take the next step and experience the unparalleled beauty of the Scottish Highlands in winter.

Previous hillwalking experience is necessary for this course and a good level of ’hill-fitness‘ is required for two consecutive days on the hill, and to get the most out of the weekend. An equipment list will be provided to all ladies booking with Girls on Hills.

Girls on Hills is a 'no-frills' experience - we don't include food or accommodation, allowing you the flexibility to choose your own to suit travel logistics or budget.
