Together with the Kurdistan Centre for International Law (KCIL) and with the support of the Scottish Council on Global Affairs (SCGA), and the Glasgow City Council, we are delighted to invite you to a panel discussion on "20 years after the invasion of Iraq - Kurdish and Iraqi perspectives". The event will take place on Tuesday 25 April, 4.00pm UK time, at the Glasgow City Chambers, Banqueting Hall.

This event will have an in-person-only format.

After a welcome from the Lord Provost of Glasgow, we will have a Panel of diverse voices offering their perspectives on the situation and developments in the region two decades after the invasion of Iraq. This will include Judge Rizgar, who presided over the trial of Saddam Hussein before resigning in protest over political interference and City Councillor Roza Salih, a Kurdish refugee and "Glasgow Girl".

Dr Anni Pues will moderate the event.

The panel's discussion will be followed by Q&A. We will have translators available at the event and light refreshments will be offered.

Tea and coffee will be served on arrival at 4.00pm, discussions will begin at 4.30pm and last until 6.30pm, with time in the end for informal conversations over tea and coffee until 7pm.
