Why Veggie diet? A vegetarian diet has been found to reduce the risk of heart disease, diabetes, cancer, hypertension, obesity, and more. Plant-based foods are generally easier to digest. Food that comes from animals, on the other hand, can create a sluggish immune system, drain your energy, and weigh you down overall.
Yogis want to feel good. They know yoga is one way to do that—and a healthy, vegetarian diet is the other side of the equation. One of the many reasons people practice yoga is for what it does on a physical level. Beyond toning the arms and tightening the butt, yoga cleanses the internal organs, keeps the digestive system moving, improves blood flow, strengthens the immune system, and the list goes on. Having a vegetarian diet add to the many health benefits of a yoga practice.
The Island of Koh Samui is a small island located in the Gulf of Thailand in the southeast Thailand in Surat Thani Province. Koh Samui has two sister islands: Koh Phangan and the smaller Ko Tao. Main town is Chaweng, where you can find anything you need for your stay. Koh Samui is famous for sandy beaches, coral reefs, and coconut trees are present on the island. The climate is warm and humid for most of the year. However, in comparison to most of the rest of southern Thailand, Koh Samui’s weather is relatively drier. The heaviest precipitation is typically seen in the months of October and November. For the rest of the year, given the tropical climate, rain showers are brief; 20-60 minutes duration is typical. The name Koh Samui derives from the word “samui”, meaning “sand bar” in the southern dialect, for these are many sand bars offshore.
Participants must be free of major injuries going into the program. Students with minor but recurring injuries must inform the teacher of their conditions.
Your passport should be valid for a minimum period of 6 months from the date of entry into Thailand. Entry to Thailand is normally refused if you have a passport which is demaged or has pages missing.
British, EU, Australian, New Zealand, American or Canadian passport holders arriving by air or land can enter Thailand for 30 days without a visa exemption. It is possible to extend your stay beyond the 30 days granted by the visa exemption by an additional 30 days from the expiry date of the original visa. To extend your visa you will need to apply at an immigration office.
If you plan to stay in Thailand for longer than 30 days, you must get a visa before you travel. If you have entered Thailand on a visa, it is possible to apply for an extension of stay but you must do this before your permission to stay expires.
If you overstay, you will be fined 500 bath per day up to maximum of 20,000 baht. Check with the Thai Immigration Authority for details.
Vaccines and Medicines
Yellow fever vaccination is required for travellers arriving from countries with risk of yellow fever transmission.

Thailand’s national animal, the mighty Elephant, is a symbol or power and royalty. Koh Samui offers one of the best tropical rain forest elephant trekking tours. Experience Thailand’s gracious animal in the most natural way through a jungle trek on the back of one of these humble animals. Travel through exotic coconut groves and wade through the cooling rivers on this amazing journey. This is by far the most magical way to discover all of Koh Samui’s jungle secrets.
