At sun set on the 29th of October 2016 the North Devon Road Runners will be hosting our second Halloween themed head torch run which will take place around the grounds of the 200 year old National Trust property Arlington Court.
During the race you will encounter all manner of twisted, evil, scary things from zombies, to werewolves to vampires. All the while you will be being chased by the Grim Sweeper who will be at the back of the field devouring the slower runners! Expect to be jumped out on, for things to grab you, for you to be harrassed and
We are laying on a bus to go to the event starting from Ilfracombe, going to BArnstaple via Braunton and then on to the race. On the way back, the bus will be stopping at The Pynes Arms for refreshments. You can only book a bus ticket through the registration process.
The National Trust will be provising food, but it must be pre-ordered, beef chilli, veggie chilli and hot dogs are available. You can only pre-order food through the registration process.

We will be offering two distances; the shorter fun route is The 5k Of Fear and the longer scary route for the braver runners is The 10K of Terror. Both routes will have glow sticks illuminating the course for you to follow as well as signs and marshals. The National Trust will be offering tasty a meal which has to be pre booked when entering the race online or lighter refreshment will be available across the counter on the evening. Fancy dress is highly recommended to help make this a fun and memorable evening.
You must be 18 to enter these races and you must have a working headtorch with spare batteries.
