Annual Spring event in London for St Hilda's Senior Members and friends.
Dr Dev Gangjee, 'Terroir's Travails: A Legal History of French Wine'
Dev Gangjee joined St Hilda’s College in October 2013, where he is a Law Fellow and a University Lecturer in Intellectual Property within the Law Faculty. Prior to this, he was a senior lecturer in law at the London School of Economics. He is a graduate of the National Law School of India and Oxford, where he was a Rhodes Scholar. Dev is presently a Research Fellow of the Oxford IP Research Centre and a Research Affiliate with IP Osgoode, Canada. He has acted in an advisory capacity for national governments, law firms and the European Commission on IP issues. Most recently he acted as a consultant for the winning party FAGE in the Greek Yoghurt dispute and his love for regional food and drink is becoming worryingly apparent. He also adds that while he is familiar with the legal history in this area, he will be looking to the audience for more sophisticated insights on the wines themselves.
The Principal will give the latest news from College and Dr Gangjee's talk will be followed by delicious refreshments.
