Beyond Budgeting is about rethinking how we manage organizations in a post-industrial world where innovative management models represent the only sustainable competitive advantage. It is also about releasing people from the burdens of stifling bureaucracy and suffocating control systems, trusting them with information and giving them time to think, reflect, share, learn and improve.
In short, Beyond Budgeting is about moving beyond traditional command-and-control toward an adaptive management model.
At this event, you will be exposed to a range of organisations that, thanks to new innovative management models, have achieved substantial performance improvements.
While in day one you will hear case studies and practical examples from organisations who have tried, tested, and implemented these ideas, in the second day, our interactive workshop will give you the tools to do it yourself. Henry Stewart and Anders Olesen will answer all of your questions about how to get started, convince others, and start your journey Beyond Budgeting.
Our exciting range of speakers includes:
Bjarte Bogsnes, VP Performance Management Development, Statoil, and Chairman, Beyond Budgeting Institute
John Seddon, Author and Managing Director of Vanguard Consulting
Henry Stewart, CEO of Happy and author of the Happy Manifesto
Anders Olesen, Director of the Beyond Budgeting Institute
Denise Hudson Lawson, Enterprise Customer Success Manager, Pluralsight
Kevin McCoy, UK Managing Director, NextJump
Workshop - 7th February
On 7th February you will have the opportunity to learn the practical ways to implement the ideas from the conference, in a full day workshop hosted by Henry Stewart, Anders Olesen and Bjarte Bogsnes.
They will help to answer all of your questions, including: how do you get started? How can you convince others in your organisation – and more importantly, the CEO?
The workshops will be hands-on, with lots of small sessions and working in small groups throughout the day. You will learn from your own experiences, as well as each other.
