2017 Innovation Award Launch: Guidance, Showcase & Networking

Description
The Innovation Award empowers individuals with game-changing ideas that will fulfil our goal of addressing educational inequality in the UK. Up to five Award Winners will receive six months' full-time salary and 12 months of support, including a place on the Teach First Innovation Incubator, an intensive programme of technical training, supportive mentoring and expert advice to help them develop, pilot and scale their idea. The Award is open for applications from 3 October 2016 to 8 January 2017.
At the Launch we will promote the impact of social entrepreneurship in tackling educational inequality, inspire new ideas and provide expert guidance to make applications the best. The event will run from 4:45pm – 8:30pm, and consist of:
- A workshop for Innovation Award Applicants (4:45pm - 6pm)
- An interactive showcase from The Grub Club, Tales Toolkit and Mindful Music (2015 Innovation Award Winners)
- Networking with stakeholders from the social enterprise, innovation, education and business sectors
- 1:1 guidance for Award Applicants on their application
Drinks and light nibbles will be provided.

NB: Potential applicants - Please arrive for the workshop to begin promptly at 4:45pm. Upon arrival, you will be allocated a time for a 1:1 clinic for application support that will take place between 6:45pm - 8:15pm.
