Have you been lurking in your Uni gym building a physique that will inspire your fellow students to put the pizza down and pick up a protein shake? Do you fancy yourself as the next Arnold Schwarzenegger or better yet the next Jake Berney!? Have you got a bikini bod that would rival Phoebe Hagan’s? If your answer is yes to any of these questions then we’ve got just what you’ve been waiting for! Get on the SPC stage this year!
The UK’s first and only national student fitness competition, MASS SPC, is returning to Bristol, hosted by the Muscle and Athletic Sport Society (MASS). Taking place on 1st April 2017 at the University of Bristol, the competition celebrates the very best in student fitness.
Since its launch in March 2014, the national competition has gone from strength to strength, with over 85 students entering across 50 different Universities last year alone. The event invites students to the stage to compete in Physique, Classic Bodybuilding, Figure or Bikini classes in a bid to be crowned national champions.
As a student-only event, there will be a level playing field to compete. MASS societies from all of the surrounding Universities send teams to compete and bring groups of supporters; this creates a community atmosphere at the event.
The categories include Women’s Fresher, Women’s Bikini (up to 163cm), Women’s Bikini (over 163cm), Women’s Figure, Men’s Fresher, Men’s Physique (up to 170cm), Men’s Physique (170-178cm), Men’s Physique (over 178cm) and Men’s Classic Bodybuilding. There will be additional awards for the highest public vote, best University team and overall Physique and Bikini champions.
Entries open on 23rd December 2016 and will close on the 17th March 2017.
Costs to enter:
Early bird entry (up until 13th Jan) £30
Regular entry (13th Jan - 17th Feb) £35
Last minute entry (18th Feb - 17th Mar) £40
Entry ticket prices will automatically go up in accordance to the above timeline.
Entries are transferrable but non-refundable. I.e. you can move between categories or in the men's case you can upgrade to dual category entry but you cannot downgrade nor are any entries may or female eligible for refund.
The day is formed of two halfs. A first half (pre-judging) and a second half (finals).
