Event description

The theme of the 2018 Annual NMAHP Research Conference and Showcase is NMAHP Research and Practice: Breaking Down Barriers. The conference will focus on the developing NMAHP research culture at CUH, Papworth and other organisations, and provide inspiring examples, strategies to develop a positive organisational research culture, and opportunities for individuals. Attendees will also learn about the latest research being conducted by local nurses, midwives and AHPs (oral and ePoster presentations), network with peers and clinical researchers, and participate in interactive workshops. Please join us for an exciting and inspiring day.

Please submit your abstract (300 words) by 27 April at noon for presentation at the Conference to:

  • This year we are trying something new and we plan for most abstracts to be presented as ePosters.
  • We will have a limited number of stands for people who would prefer to have a poster on a board.
  • Oral presentations will be moderated ePosters. The ePoster will be displayed on the screen and the presenter will have 3 minutes to discuss the poster, and 2 minutes for questions from the audience.
  • ePosters will be displayed in one of the 3 seminar rooms and you will know in which room your poster will be displayed on the screen. You will not be required to present your poster, but we ask that you be available in the seminar room as people may want to ask you questions.
  • Your name tag will identify you as a poster presenter and the number of your poster. We will provide a guide as to where posters will be presented.
  • We will also put the abstracts together in a document that can be downloaded.
  • Important: you will need to let us know if you are interested in presenting a moderated poster (Note: this does not guarantee the opportunity due to time limitations), an ePoster or would like to put your poster on a stand
